This is about as special as they get. This is the limited edition Lie Nielsen LN 2002 plane made/sold in conjunction with The Fine Tool Journal. It is made from white bronze with rosewood knob and tote. It is based on the Stanley No. 1. There were only 500 ever made and this is No. 404. It comes with the certificate of authenticity and the production number is stamped on the lever cap. This plane is in like new condition. It appears to have never been used. There are no flaws that I could find. The only thing I could even consider a flaw is that there are a few extremely light, lateral scratches on the sole. However, they are light enough that they didn\'t really show up in the picture included. You have to hold it in the right light to see them.
Everything with this plane is exactly as it should be. The original certificate of authenticity, the original box, original corrosion inhibitor wrapping, and original LN instructions regarding the lever cap screw are included. The box has some scratches and stains. This is a beautiful and rare collectible plane. Only you and 499 other people in the world will have this in your collection.
