Lindy Fralin Broadcaster Pickups Set +5%/+2% For Fender Telecaster.Set consists of one +5% overwound bridge pickup and one +2% overwound neck pickup, brand new in the original factory box. The bridge pickup features \'flat\' Alnico V pole pieces as found on Teles until early \'54, black fiberboard coil form, 42 gauge vintage style dark enamel coil wire, black waxed string coil wrap, careful wax potting to reduce microphonics, copper clad steel bottom plate and cloth covered output leads. The neck pickup features include Alnico V magnets, black fibreboard coil form, 43 gauge dark enamel coil wire, a traditional chrome plated nickel silver cover and cloth covered output leads. This set has an RW/RP relationship (bridge pickup wound clockwise, neck pickup wound counterclockwise, reversed magnetic polarity) for hum cancellation when used in combination (typically position two on a CRL 1452 three-way pickup selector switch). This set also works great with Fender\'s cool four-way pickup selector switch; you get hum cancellation in position two (parallel combination) and position four (series combination). I\'m crazy about about the thicker, more distorted tone of the Fralins in series but Lindy finds this hookup too dirty for his tastes. For optimum shielding/grounding there are three wires on the neck pickup; the usual two wires from the coil and a separate isolated ground wire soldered to the tab on the bottom of the metal cover. Simply solder this additional ground wire from the tab on the neck pickup cover to the back of the volume pot where the other ground wires are soldered together.We include more and much better mounting hardware than you\'ll get from any other Fralin dealer.
