This trailer started life as your basic M-416 1/4 ton trailer, originally designed for towing behind a Jeep, but slightly modified for towing behind the then current M-151 Mutt, which had different wheels, and a wider stance. It then went to Tobyhanna US Army Depot, Tobyhanna, PA,where it was modified even further, by the US Army,for use as aTelegraph TerminalSet for an Airmobile Army Division. The Cargo Tie Down Loops, the 2 additional leaf springs, the tailgate, and the canvas top attachment sleeves, were all added per US Military Spec, and the sub-model number of AN/MGC-34 was assigned to it. I researched who would have been inVietnam when this trailer was manufactured, and found that The 13th Signal Battalion was assigned to The 1st Cavalry Division in Vietnam, and would havebeen usingthis type of equipment. I put on the accurate identification numbers, and stars, and painted the trailer to give it a rustic look. We had been using this trailer for Adventure Camping, but we did not have it out all this last summer, so it\'s time to pass it along. Tires are 2 years old.
