Here is an original WW2/ Korea area modified Garand bayonet out of a local collector\'s estate. A brief search tells me that this bayonet that was modified to fit in a smaller scabbard in the years after the Korean war and thus all of the markings were removed off of these US bayonets during the modification. The search revealed that these did not see wide spread use as were mostly held as surplus items but this Item show some use/wear but no active rust or broken/missing pieces noted. The attachment system is there and works as it should.
The local collector is unfortunately deceased so I have no further info other that what his widow has told me and a few scraps of paper with little notes that were taped to certain items. This one simply had \"Cut down US Garand bayonet\" written on the paper taped to it.
