This is avintage original Marx miniatureFort Apacheplayset. It was receivednewin1963. It is in used and played with condition. Original owner. There is no box.It is missing the cavalry wagon/caisson,1 blockhouse, and the US Flag. Mostof thefigures are damaged - see the photos and descriptions below. One of clasps on the right handdoorto the fort is broken off. Some of the indians and cavalry soldiers are missing and there may be a few other missing pieces. Please see photos and the detailed list below.

FORT APACHE AND TERRAIN:9 walls for the fort;1 blockhouse;Gate with Fort Apache sign, with2 doors (1 door snap/clasp on the right side of the gate isbroken - see photos);1 ladder; 1 cactus; 2 partial trees on stumps andsomepieces of other trees.

CANNON: 1cannon with cannonballs.

ACCESSORIES:2 teepees (poles at top of tent missing on 1 teepee); 1 campfire;1 totem pole; 1 skin on tanning rack (has 1 broken stand); 1dog,1well (missing the bucket and arm); 1 anvil; 1 barrel; 1 log pile; 1 base for Flag (missing Flag and Flagpole); 1 broken wheel.

U.S. CAVALRYTROOPS:11cavalry soldiers 7 on foot and 4 mounted (all but 2 foot soldiers are damaged, mounted soldiers are intact - See the photos). Detailed descriptions: 1 soldier standing firing rifle (broken rifle tip); 2 soldiers kneeling firing rifle (both have broken rifles; );1 soldier advancing with armupright (sabre is broken); 1 soldier standing with broken sabre at waist; 1 soldier kneeling shooting pistol (intact); 1 soldier standing with pistol and bugle (intact); 1 mounted cavalry riderwith sword above head (intact); 3 mounted cavalry riders shooting pistol (intact). INDIAN WOMEN AND WARRIORS: 8original Marx indian warriors and 3 indianwomen, (all are damaged, except 2of the women - See the photos), plus2 more indian warriors from adifferentplayset, perhaps Giant. Detailed descriptions: 2 chiefs sitting (both have broken arm);1 chief sitting (has broken pipe); 1 woman sitting with papoose;1 woman standing with bowl; 1 woman walking (has broken arm); 1 warrior kneeling shooting(broken) bow and arrow; 1warrior standing with (broken) bow and arrow; 1 warrior standing (broken arm)]; 1 warrior standing reaching for arrow with (broken) bow in hand; 1 warrior with arms outstretched(broken base). Plus, 2 warriors from adifferent playset:1 warrior attacking with arms outraised; 1 warrior running with shield.

This is an excellent addition to any collection of classic 1960\'s era toys and, for toy soldier collectors this is an excellent set for use either as a stand alone diorama, or add it to a larger diorama.
