An original 4-pc GAR Badge for the the 40th National Encampment at Minneapolis, Minnesota, 1906, The badge has a Civil War canteen suspended from an orange ribbon showing Minnesota Scenes- Minnehaha Falls & the Minneapolis GAR Memorial Hall. The pinbar depicts the Federal eagle with crossed cannons & sabers, and a pendant GAR star w color enamel inlay, the reverse with maker marks. The handsome art deco design makes this a very attractive Grand Army of the Republic veteran medal, and the ribbon has minor stains but is Overall VG. (These usually come with a damaged or missing ribbon; this is one of the nicest I have had in years).
