Circa 1957 Gibson Maestro GA 45 harp guitar accordion amp in 4 x 8 configuration. When I got the amp, I wasn\'t sure it was working, so here is what I did: powered it up slow with a variac and current limiter for 6 hours to reform caps. Removed resistor in series with speakers as previous owner had wired the speakers wrong and simply put an added resistor in line so the amp\'s output tranny would see the proper 8 ohm load...quite stupid but now removed. Power tubes were replaced with matched tung sols. One 5879 replaced as well as the 6sq7. I cleaned the pots and replaced the fraying trem cord. I have not replaced the trem pedal so the new owner can use whatever connection they want. Also, the trem works for about 10 seconds then fades out...the caps on the back side of the board need to be changed to get the trem working, but I have not done it and I refuse to just slap caps on the front, which can easily be done. Cap job done poorly in the past as seen on left hand side...they work and it\'s quiet but it\'s ugly. If I was going to keep it, I\'d redo those when I did the trem caps. The amp is perfectly playable and sounds great as it is, but if you want to fix the trem you may as well clean that ugly cap job as you will have to pop the board to get to the back. . Condition as shown.....numerous bumps, dings, scrapes, plastic tape, missing logo, etc. Original trannys. Speakers are mid 70\'s quams......Ask questions before offerding as sales are final and as is.
