Mappin and Webb vintage Quill or Nib knife -was accidently listed as a Scalpel. A Quib knife was used to cut a birds quill or feather into a pen for dipping in ink and writing. The part of the feather that dips in the ink and is cut for writing was called the nib. With original sheath, repaired on one end with masking tape. I could remove the tape but maybe an expert restorer might do a better job. Mappin and Webb are makers of fine metal items since late 1800's located in Sheffield and London England. Today they are well known for high quality bling items.Ruler shown is not included. Feather shown is not included.
