Vintage Koehler Brass Safety Oil Lantern Model 289-1A with Monax Glass
In good vintage condition, shows typical age, natural patina, light surface scuffs, wick is present and has been lit, there are two red \"5\"s stencelled on the top and body of the lantern as is shown.
There is a small chip on the rim of the Monax glass dome that is pointed out in the pictures.
The striker works and the wick adjustment works. The tank is cotton filled. I suspect this lantern burns lighter fluid a.k.a. naptha.
