This lovely ca 1890\'s gown is made from a dove gray wool, sheer silk and wide bands of embroidered netting. It\'s trimmed with lavender embroidered silk ribbon. The wool is very soft, the bodice is has ivory lace around the collar and along the edge of the lavender silk. The top of the collar and around the yoke has a band of narrow metallic gold braid. The sleeves are ruched trimmed with pastel embroidered floral trim below the elbows. It has ivory lace peeking out from the bottom and the edge is trimmed with lavender silk. The sleeves has a few spots, the ivory lace needs a couple of very minor repairs, the silk on the center back fold is frayed, there\'s 2 small holes on the edge of the wool bands that come over the shoulders, a tear in the silk chiffon in the center front insert, the sleeve lining has holes, otherwise the lining is ok. It measures 39 inches around the bust, across the back shoulder is 14 1/2 inches, waist is 29 and it\'s 18 1/2 inches long. The skirt has tears in the chiffon where it pulled away from the waistband on the sides, a few other scattered holes in the chiffon as well. The skirt has bands of wool trimmed with buttons and loops a wide wool embroidered net band around the bottom, the back falls to a train. The skirt is lined in silk, the lining is ok, but the ruffle of the lining is backed with another in taffeta and the taffeta ruffle is shattered. The wool has a few very small pin head size holes. It has a silk ruffle at the waist in back, it might have been for a bustle pad, this also is shattered. It measures 28 1/2 inches around the waist, hips are full and it\'s 42 1/2 inches long in center front. Very good vintage condition, easy restore or leave it alone. Thank you for looking at my sale.
