MEN VTG CHURCHILL Beaver 25 7 1/8 Cavanagh Edge FURFELT FEDORA HAT Gray

This is a classic 1950’s – 1960’s fur felt fedora dress hatin used vintage condition. This is an awesome hat for any type of outdooractivity.

GREAT CLASSIC VINTAGE FEDORA

Brim – 1 7/8 inch wide snap

Crown – approx 4 3/4 inches tall center dent

Ribbon – 2 inches wide

Size – Tagged 7 1/8, opening measures approximately 7 3/4 x 6 3/8,and measurement around the inside of the sweatband is approximately 22 1/4inches

Up for sale is a vintage 1950’s – 1960’s men’sfur felt Fedora by “Churchill Ltd., New Yorker, Beaver 25”, in atagged size 7 1/8, it is in good vintage condition. The hat does show somesigns of wear. The color is gray with a black 2 inch wide grosgrain ribbon. Thesweatband is still soft and pliable, free of any tears, and showing some signsof wear. The sweatband stitching is still nice and tight free of anybreaks.Printed on one side of the sweatband is “Churchill Ltd., Beaver 25”, and atthe opposite side is “Hastings”. The satin liner is in good condition showingsome signs of wear; it is free of tears and holes. The crown is about 4 3/4 inchestall with a center dent, pinch front. The snap brim is 1 7/8 inches wide and ishas a nice brim treatment, Churchill’s version of the “Cavanagh Edge”, a brim treatmentwhere the edge of the brim is felted back over onto itself leaving a very nicefinished edge without stitching. The brim can be worn flipped up or down. Thefelt is soft, smooth and pliable, but as with most vintage hats this one coulduse a professional cleaning to remove any dust from years of storage.

The hat DOES have some moth damage, it isscattered about hat, most of it under the brim, but there are no holes throughthe felt. The ribbon also has a couple of blemishes as seen in the pictures. Thereare NO tears or stains.
