Mettlach Geschutzt Villeroy Boch 19th c. German Art Pottery 6.5\" Vase #1876 Description

Mettlach Villeroy Boch German Art Pottery Vase

• Background color is a rust/brown - raised enamel accents are turquoise and blue - metallic gold detailtrim.
• Glazed interior is a sage green color.
• Impressed Mettlach VB (Villeroy & Boch) Geschutzt mark - used until around 1900. Shape 1876. Date stamp 10, 89 for 1889.
• Stands 6 1/2\" tall. Approx. 4 1/8\" at widest section of body.
• No chips, cracks or crazing found. In great condition for age, but I do find a couplethings to point out. The raised dots between the geometric shapes were originally a darker blue. The top layer of color has flaked on most dots to reveal a lighter blue shade below. This is not distracting, but wanted to mention for accuracy. I also find a tiny 1/16\" nickon edge of one dot- see last photo.
