This is a beautiful Louwelsa Weller vase made between 1896 and 1924 when Weller made Louwelsa. This miniature squatty vase stands about 3” tall. Itis signed on thebase. This Vase has a brilliant shiny brown glaze that is reflective. On the top the brown background is a hand painted yellow floral design with brown and green leaves and stems. “LOUWELSA WELLER” with a horizontal “8” are imprinted on the bottom. The bottom also is imprinted with the artist\'s mark “X 104”. I am uncertain about artist and lettering and refer you to Pictures 4 and 5 for your interpretation. The handle appears to be a rare design that I was unable to find on the web.
The colors are best shown in Picture 6 which was taken in the sunlight, but the colors vary depending on the lighting. It was extremely difficult to take pictures that accurately portray the beauty of this vase because of its highly reflective glaze finish that is mirror-like. The shape is best shown in Picture 2.

Condition: Good Condition, except for a small chip of the glaze on its handle that is shown in the pictures. This Vase has no other chips, cracks, breaks, crazing, scratches, other blemishes or repairs. (It should be easy to repair this small chipbecause it is not on an edge and is not deep.)This vase comes from a smoke-free and pet free homes. PLEASE SEE ALL PICTURES of the actual Vase that is being saleed.
