This is a MIL-Spec weatherproof, rugged, microprocessor controlled tunerdesigned for MotorolaTriton and Micom seriesHFtransceivers. However, it can also easily be usedwith most Ham radio gear (w/o presetmemories). It makes a great mobile/portableHF all-band automatic tuner. (I have used one to tune a 32 ft wire in the attic on 80 through 10)
The MIL Spec power rating is 125 watts PEP, but its large mounted coils, heavy duty relays and heavy duty fixed capacitors (all MIL Spec) are reported to easily handle 250 watts in online Ham forums.
A single coax line connects to the tuner providing both RF input and 12 volt tuner control power. Full remote control to program memories, etc. onlyrequiresaadditional3conductorcable. The fast tuning design is ideal forAutomatic Link Establishment (ALE) operation. The extremely rugged tuner meets militarily specification STD 810D.
