Original 18th century violin by Johann Christian Ficker, Markneukirchen, 1785. For restoration. Typical Amati/Stainer model favored during the period. Top plate has suffered crush fracture along bassbar, additional smaller cracks in top plate as well as in the soundpost area. Bass side lower bout portion of the top plate lateral to the f-hole missing. Lower bass rib fractured and partially missing. No other cracks to the ribs, back, or scroll, although a small portion of one corner of the back is missing. Grafted neck and bushed pegbox.
