This telegram was sent from New York on April 17, 1900 to a Lawyer - Joseph Cotton who was a attorney for both the DM&IR Railroad and the Lake Superior Ings Iron Mine co. The unique thing about this telegram is that it used a code - Mr. Coffin has used pencil to decrypt the message.
This is very fragile - has a couple of small tears where it was originally folded - I will ship it between cardboard in a large envelope to protect it from more damage.
