Original Antique Pioneer (Engineer) German Regimental Military Beer Steinwith a Glass Prism Lid. Dated 1905.PioneerJosef Gobfert served inthe 1stKgl. Bavarian Pionier Battalion3 Companyin Ingolstadt from 1903to 1905. This stien is porcelain and has military engineering scenes of themconstructing a bridge. There are rosters of all the men who served with Pioneer Gobfert and the bottom has awonderful lithopane of Kaiser Wilhelm II.The pewter lid has a glass prism with a scene and a rampant lion thumblift.It is about9 1/4\" high. There are No Cracks or Chips, but there isslight ding to the pewter and a solid old pewter repair at the tang where the hinge attaches to the lid (see the photos). It is otherwise excellent and BEST OF ALL ... .
