Original USN MK 1 16\" Locking PAL Bayonet w Scabbard B 2/8 N US Navy WW II NICE:

Original and previously owned by a US Navy Veteran, this is a USN M1 Locking Bayonet with scabbard.
The blade is 16\" long and measures 3/16\" thick and 1-1/8\" wide where the handle meets the blade.
The blood groove is approx 12.50\" long.
On the blade the former owner has scratched his name (photo).
The blade is marked: \"US\" and \"PAL\" along with a \"bomb\" hallmark between the U and S. There is no visible date. The handle appears to be plastic.
The olive drab green Scabbard is fiberglass and is 17\".On metal top of the scabbard is \"USN MK 1\". And underneath in the fiberglass, the former owner has scratched his initials. On the metal back side top of the scabbard is stamped: \" B 2/8 N\". The bayonet blade locks into the scabbard & release button functions well.
Overall length 21.75\"
Overall in good condition for age. Scuffs and scrapes are visible.
