This is part of a large collectionthat I am selling, keep an eye on my other sales. I will also be listing much more of my collection to include military saddles, bridles, bits, scabbards, holsters, belts, swords, historical documents, uniforms, musical instruments, photos, etc. etc. PLEASE LOOK AT THE OTHER JAPANESE SWORDS & MISC. THAT I KNOW HAVE LISTED. You are offerding on a nice example of a WW2 Japanese Officers sword signed \"Kanemune\" along with a date that is shallow and difficult to read, probably 1940. It is also stamped on the tang and also on the spine. The blade has scattered staining, could use a polish, but remains in very good condition. Scabbard is missing its throat but it, along with all fittings are of good quality and are also in very good condition with the scabbard ring mount being stamped, being a bit rare. The \"correct\" blade measurement is 26 1/8\" with overall sword being 37 3/8\", sword in scabbard measures 40\". Hopefully the photos above and below will speak for themselves. You may need to use the positioning bars on the bottom and side for very detailed inspection of the close-up. Older computers may take a while but the item detail is worth the wait.
