Original WW2 M40 German Helmet Repainted As Fire Helmet With Pins NYFD:

WW2 German M40 helmet - shell only with all original split pins. It has been repainted black as a fireman\'shelmet. Stamps are a little hard to read but looks like an ET52 (possibly 62, but feels more like a 52) - lotnumber looks like 735 (there is a painted over scrape that slightly obscures the stamp).
Applied lettering to front that is easily removeable and a Fire Lt\'s bar. I have most likely ID\'ed the owner, itcame from the NY New Rochelle Fire Department Engine 22. Name available upon request
Shell is in excellent condition with no dents, interior looks to have had some minor pitting before repaint.
