You are offerding on a Pattern1858 British Yataghan sword bayonet, scabbard and frog for the Enfieldrifle. The bayonet should also fit theMartini Henry and Whitworth rifles. Thonet is 28 1/8 inches with the blade being 22 7/8 inches. The blade has not been sharpened and has thefactory dull edge. The blade has a baremetal finish but there is some stains or spots.There is a stamping on the base of the blade for Kirschbaummanufacture. The top of the pommel ismarked 144 J.L. The grips have scratchesand nicks. The push button release alsoworks. The scabbard has black leatherwith a metal tip. The leather iscracking. The leather frog has beenpainted white. It is marked on the backwith several ink stamps.
