This pair of exquisitely embroidered silk pillow covers are fresh from a Newport Rhode Island estate! These beautiful covers are in very good condition and are suitable for framing! Each silk cover measures approx. 18 x 20 inches. The front of each pillow case is beautifully embroidered with silk and gold metal thread on gold silk fabric. Each pillow case is embroidered with several different types of birds and flowers. The back of each pillow case is made of a light brown silk with a floral design. There are four Victorian snaps on each case so a pillow can be easily slipped in or out. These lovely pillow cases more than likely date from the late Victorian era. Very good condition!
