An amazing work of art this pre Civil War beauty with dense stipple quilting.
The quilting will take your breath away. The work is so fine I couldn\'t count the stitches in places.
Along with very fine quilting you will see a rare to find 4 block star pattern.
Framed with double rows of sawtooth.
Peeking at the fabrics you can see a rich assortment of many early prints.
85 x 84 inches
Some of the quilting that I could count range from 15 to 20 stitches per inch.
There\'s fancy feathers and tiny 1/2 grids.
Hand bind.
Hand pieced.
The prints have worn through out the quilt. The background fabric is study and strong which is amazing to find from this era.
Some spotting in places.
Circa 1850s era
