This is a wonderful antique Belleek horse sea serpent spill vase from the early 1863-1890. I have been in contact with a Belleek specialist in the UK and he verified the impressed marking was one of the first markings done by Belleek. There is one area on the bottom rim,a bubble like spot and next to it an areathat could have been a bubble but doesnt have the glaze. Its about a pinhead size. I never notice it all the years I have had it, just not noticable. In the inspection as II was getting ready to pack, just tomake sure all was fine I noticedit. (photo 6)There are no cracks or crazing or repairs. For being over one hundred years old, I still think its in fine condition. It measures about 5\" long and 2 1/2\" wide, and about 3 1/2\" tall. What a wonderful collectors piece for someone who collects the very old Belleek!
