Rare Springfield trapdoor 45/70 barrel band with stacking swivel. This one is in excellent condition with justabout all the original blue. Just a couple tiny rub marks. Clear patent date on the swivel.Very clear small \"U\". Ithink I read thatthese were very unpopular with the soldiers as they would snag easily on harness and horse hair. Often replace with rifle bands. They were eliminated altogether with the introduction of the saddle scabbard.USA SALES ONLY!
