VERY RARE Pair of Early GOLD BIFOCAL Oval Antique Eye Glasses, Victorian c.1890

DESCRIPTION: Scans show it all.....a complete early pair of unusual antique eye glass frames with complete lenses, c.1890. Especially nice because the frames are GOLD rather than the typical steel. THESE ARE PARTICULARLY RARE AS THEY ARE BIFOCAL LENSES. almost never seen in early eyeglasses.

These have a nice Victorian look overall, and are a nice pair to go with a collectionor for use with an early costume. Unusual look, and have a nice look in the gold. And of course, THE RARITY OF THE BIFOCAL LENSES.

Lenses are flat with the bifocal portion, also flat, seemingly \"added on\" to the outside. They have a really nice, unusual look. Both lenses are there and intact.

Frames and lenses are in excellent condition. Great for decoration, a collection, or for use with a costume or as a theatrical prop.
