For your offerding consideration is this: \" Impressive\" American-made BUCK 119 U.S.A. Hunting/Skinning Knife. This beautiful knife has Micarta Spacers and comes with a minty condition BUCK 119 leather sheath.
This fixed blade hunting BUCK hunting knife and sheath are in Excellent Condition for the age.
The Buck knife production date comes from the trademark 3 line blade stamping of of the blade, and also the 3 Micarta spacers which were only used for certain years.
History: From research it has been noted that these Buck knives were first produced with 4 Micarta spacers. The factory gradually reduced the amount of spacers to 2 before they changed the year of blade stamping in 1986. Therefore, this Buck 119 fixed blade knife is a very rare 3 Micarta spacer knife, and most likely were manufactured between approx. 1973 and 1979.

Remember,“Back in their day” these older knives were purchased to be used…Not collected, making this great condition even morerare and difficult to find.
SIZE:
The overall size measures: 10 3/8\" long.
The fixed blade measures: 5 7/8 \" long.
HANDLE:
The secure heavy-duty handle is designed with 3 factory finger-grooves, for a firm grip. The smooth handle is construction of a beautiful Phenolic black composite material with 3 Micarta spacers. There is NO looseness and both the secure finger guard and shiny pommel are in Excellent condition for their vintage age. The solid handle shows some very light signs of handling, and the 2\" long finger guard has some short light scratches.

BLADE:
The steel blade is full with a pointed tip and is in Excellent shape for being decades old. The sharp & bright hunting / skinning blade may not have been resharpened or if it has been... it is very light. The blade has some faint surface scratches at the tip area. This style of hunting blade blood features blood grooves on both sides that measure 1 3/8\" long.
This Buck fixed blade is not only large (almost 6\" long) but it is very reflective. This clip-point style blade features a false top edge that could be sharpened if desired. The heavy duty blade measures 3/16\" thick (one photo has a quarter placed on the blade for size comparison)

SHEATH:
A very nice BUCK 119 black leather sheath (or case) is included. It has a large riveted belt loop with wide protective fastening strap with workingmetal snap.
The metal snap is stamped: B U C K
This heavy-duty sheath is in Minty Condition with complete stitching, stiff throat and measures a hefty 1/2\" thick.
This in one heavy-duty leather sheath and is factory stamped on the back: 1 1 9. The hunting knife fits snug inside and the sheath offers great protection while carrying.
This unique \"BUCK U.S.A.\" hunting / skinning knife will make a great addition for the collector or
outdoorsman in your family!
This Hunting Bowiehas a lot of character and vintageappeal....with that slight “patina of time\" appearance not yetachieved with newer knives.
