Rare EARLY BEADED DROP or WATCH FOB w GREAT DESIGN, c. 1890s This is a rare early beaded drop or watch fob with a fantastic design and circa 1890s, or so. Piece is 4 1/8” long and 1 1/8” at the widest, and it is thread sewn onto soft native tanned hide with a striped silk backing. I am not exactly sure who made this but my guess is northern Plains or Plateau area. Bead colors incliude white-heart reds, greasy yellow, white, light blue, pink, black, clear dark green, and clear red along with some faceted cut steel beads around the outer edge. Condition is very good with a few missing beads, as pictured. This is just an outstanding little piece of design, and it was just found in New England.
