RARE 1960\'s Elk Viking 100 tube guitar amplifier Made in Japan == Considered by many to be the only professional-quality 1960\'s vintage MIJ guitar amplifiers, Elk amps were produced by Myuki and its spin-off Elk Gakki (which later made a model or 2 for Fender during the Fullerton to Corona transition); theseare hand-wired with discrete components, and were made in both Fender and Marshall clone styles == The Elk Flagship model Viking 100 is a marshall-style amp with (4) EL-34 output tubes, and has been a favorite of working musicians in Japan (and elsewhere), but are very rare in the USA (and not real common anywhere)== This example isearly production with a three digit serial number (0373),and is in beautifulExcellent Plus near-mint condition-- one small scratch in tolex on bottom, some slight scratches/discoloration on metal -- this was apparently brought to west Texas by a returning seviceman and forgotten in a closet !! Itlooks almost new, and is exceptionally clean for a 45 year old amp == I suspect the original owner got home with it and realized he couldn\'t use itbecause it is a 220 volt only amp !!!Again, this is only equipped for 220v mains power == We are unable to test the amp because we only have 110v power here in the USA== Two channels withfootswitchable Reverb and Vibrato on one channel ==A Rare amp in Collector\'s Condition == Weighs 35 pounds (15.9kg)-- 45 pounds packed (20.45kg) ==We ship worldwide, and are quite experienced shipping vintage amps internationally == NEW INFO -- I was able to briefly use a step-up transformer, and the amp is working -- Channel 2 is LOUD, Channel 1 (Rev & Vib) is weak, I will check the tubes......but it is working..
