sale is for a Non dug pre war (1820-1840) set of Shako hat pins used during the Mexican War and Civil War. Circular with star in middle. Extremely rare to find a pair that have been together since they were worn 150+ years ago. Attachments on back. 3 wires on one, 2 wires on the other. Still have a gold gilt look to them with a old tarnishing to them.
