This is an original CDV photograph of the corpsefamous outlaw Jesse James that was takenby Rudolph Uhlman right after he was killed in 1882 at McFadden's Mortuary in St Joseph, Mo. This photo measures 3 and 11/16" by 2 and 7/16" and is marked on the bottom "Jesse James" and the photographer's name of"R. Uhlman, St Joseph, Mo.".It is reported that the dark spot above his left eye is the exit wound of the bullet that he was killed by. These photographs were a popular souvenir in the day but are extremely rare to find now. This photois housed in a sports card holder to help protect it from further damage and wasphotographed by me while it was still in it. This will help to explain the brightness of my photos. The card is original and has some damage with a crack going thru the center and the upper corner is missing. There is some stains and possiblysome very light pencil marks on the front.
