Antique, fine quality Spanish hunting knife / dagger & sheath - Toledo, circa 1880-1890
Carved stag antler handle with beautiful grain and patina - wide, typical hand-guard - very good grip and firm attachment to blade.
The wide blade is superb quality - hand forged with a double-edge and a thick, central ridge for added strength - it is spear shaped and bears a signature ;FABRICA DE TOLEDO\' - it shows a beautiful grain and may be a Damascus type blade
The original sheath is made of silvered metal and leather - it has a belt hook and attached with a red cord and metal ring
Very good condition for the age - age and handling ware visible on the sheath - very sturdy blade with firm attachment to the handle - please view detailed pictures.
It measures overall 28 cm long - blade alone is 12.5 cm long x 4.5 cm wide at widest point
