An original etching by StephenMaxfield Parrish, a rare image entitled Market Boats. Figures work onshore near the moored boats loading wares onto a cart. Finely drawn, sensitive and detailed. Signed and titled within the image, and also pencil-signed \"Stephen Parrish\" lower right. A handwritten label on the back adds \"only 5 impressions made.\" StephenMaxfieldParrish was a well-known engraver and also a talented painter but really best known for his etchings. His son was the celebrated artist and illustrator Maxfield Parrish. This piece is float-mounted in a neutral mat, framed in simple black wood. A beautiful piece for the collector.
