Very good condition original Remington No. 5 Rolling Blockrifle bayonet that has clear manufacturer markings on the left side of theblade including the Ilion, N.Y. address. Bayonet has all mixed bright, gray,and brown metal finish. Blade was never sharpened and has a nice original edgeand tip with no nicks or dings. Guard has a few pits. Wood grips have originalfinish and a good tight fit with some handling marks, lock button functionsfine. Fitted in correct original steel scabbard that has leather belt loop.Steel body has brown and gray metal finish with a little bit of pitting, nodents. Leather belt loop is soft and supple with tight stitching and shows somewear. A classic early Remington Rolling Block bayonet that will make a greataddition to your collection alone or for display with your rifle.
