his sweet top is such a joyous clash of unrelated motifs, neatly sashed, charmingly bordered and all the more endearing for the many little shims and strips slipped in around the edges of the blocks to make them all fit a consistent block size! This quilt top has that kind of easy-going, make-it-work (and perhaps use-it-up?) approach to design and layout that\'s impossible to fake. Great fun, huge spirit, circa 1900.

Size
This quilt top measures about 62 x 65 inches . The blocks are about 9-10 1/2 inches square.

Construction
Entirely hand-pieced.

Condition
The quilt top has clearly been washed. The fabrics have a nice, soft, rumpled feel. Four triangles that feel like silk and wool down at one corner are weakened or disintegrating. Other than this, I just find tiny flecks of spotting on the white here and there and one faint little tan spot 1/2 inch by 1 inch in the stripe border, which is pictured.

Shipping

I generally ship USPS Priority, but always try to offer you a choice of services. There are no packing or hidden fees. I pick up any additional cost to fully insure quilts over $300. When it will save money between our locations, I use flat rate and regional rate boxes. When I can ship for less, you\'ll receive a Paypal refund for the difference.

Overseas shipping

I charge exact Priority shipping costs. Frequent overseas buyer often prefer to have their paid wins held for weeks or months, so a whole batch can ship at once for combined shipping savings. I just ask that you pay for each win in a timely manner. When you\'re done shopping, I pack the group and bill you for the combined shipping total.

Combined shipping

I\'m always happy to combine shipping and will re-invoice you with the new total if you have multiple wins in a day. If you have already paid, of course I\'ll refund you the savings.

Shipping Time

I strive to ship within 24 hours of cleared payment. If you need your package by a certain date or don\'t want it to arrive until you return from a trip, just let me know and we\'ll adjust accordingly.

Tracking

Live tracking is posted upon shipment, so you can follow your package\'s progress in under items Won/Purchased.

Payment

I accept Paypal and can accommodate other payment methods if you ask in advance. I request payment within 72 hours of your win. If something comes up and you will need up to a week, please kindly let me know within 72 hours how much extra time you\'ll need.

Layaway

I often list in themed bursts, so I know you might find a cache of must-have quilts when a splurge isn\'t in the budget. I can often offer a convenient 3-month layaway plan on quilts selling for $450 and over and kindly request that you ask in advance about availability of layaway for a given quilt unless it is marked as layaway-qualified at the end of the description.

Layway terms are a 1/3 down and the balance payable in your choice of installments or a lump sum, within 90 days from the listing\'s closing date.

Returns

I go to great lengths to be your eyes and fingertips, to outline every flaw no matter how minor, so the only surprise that might await you is how much better a quilt is real life. Naturally, if you find I have missed something, I count on you to let me know immediately so that I may make things right.
