This is a trapdoor rifle stock that has been cut down to a carbine stock.The inlets for the carbine sling swivel have been cut in and thefront of the stock has been filled withperiod wood where the ramrod hole originally was. A piece of wood had to be replaced on the stock in the area that wraps around the barrel it starts at the back inlet for the carbine swivel and goesto the end of the stockyou can see the replacement in the images. Because of the wood replacement the stock had to be sanded down, restained, and finished. there is a very light marking just after the back swivel inlet and three stamps on with the number 30 at the front of where the trigger guard goes and another the number 52 where the tang is installed and the number 85 where the breach is installed.I\'m selling this as a display piece only and do not recommend it be used as a functional firearm.
