The U.S. Version of the S650G Bison wasoriginallymanufactured by Satoh Agricultural Machine Mfg. Inc. in Tokyo, Japan and was produced from 1973 to 1983 for the United States. In Japan the 650G model tractor dates back to the early 1960\'s. In February of 1980, Satoh merged with Mitsubishi leading to changes in the tractor and model line. Remaining U.S. Satoh inventory was relabeled as Mitsubishi and some Satoh models were rebranded as \"Satoh by Mitsubishi\". Sales of the S650G ended in 1983. In its lifetime the S650G Bison was produced with one of two gasoline Mazda engines: a 25HP 4 cylinder PB 100 987cc engine or a larger 27HP 4 cylinder TA/TB 1169cc engine. After the 1980 merge the core drive train became all Mitsubishi and primarily diesel. The Satoh S650G Bison was offered as 2wd only.\"
