Fresh from a fine Beverly Hills estate, we are offering this iconic and beautiful hat by Elsa Schiaparelli, Paris. Made of the very finest Milan straw braid that gives it strength and suppleness. And the color is delicious, a yummy muted raspberry pink! Dates from the 1950s to early 1960s. Deep cloche crown and low deep curving brim make this chapeau very much in the style worn by the lovely Audrey Hepburn in \"Breakfast At Tiffanys\", as the sloping brim casts a shadow of the eyes, very sultry! Perfectly and masterfully executed, with the only trimming a wide band and matching deeper pink grosgrain ribbon and two tootsie roll millinery adornments. . I show the hat on a full sized adult millinery bust. The lady is a size 22, and you can see the hat sits right on the forehead, with the brim gently curving downward past the eyes, creating that Audrey peek-a-boo effect that is sultry and oh SO high fashion. Size is 22, but looks good on smaller and larger heads too. I wear a size 22 1/4 hat, and this hat fits me perfectly, very comfortably, not snug at all. Although the actual circumference is 21 1/2\" around the inside ribbon, it is made for a 22\" head, and if this hat were sized any larger it would sit on the wearer\'s nose!
