Alebrijes, which are Mexico\'s fantastic, imaginative figures are often described as creatures of the dreams and the imagination, They are made of copal wood in Oaxaca, Mexico. I travel annually to Oaxaca to personally select economical, high quality carvings from many different artists. Oaxaca\'s wood carvings are collected world-wide and are exhibited in galleries and museums. This hand-carved and hand-painted sea turtle is a really great unusual piece. The painting is vibrant - a blue turtle with an orange, yellow and purple decorated shell, blue feet and an almost identical baby riding on the shell. This family of turtles is approximately 3\" long and 2 \" wide. It would be a wonderful addition to any collection.
