NOTE ABOUT CONDITION:

Condition is a verysubjective concept so I have included these comprehensive definitions regardingmy use of condition language:

In addition todescriptive words (i.e., “good condition”), I will rate each piece on a scalefrom 1 to 10, with the following standards:

10 = “Like New” “MINT” …This pieceis virtually in the same condition as when removed from the original box. Thereare absolutely no flaws or visible indications of any use whatsoever. It isvery rare that I use this description.

9 = “Excellent” “Near Mint” …Thispiece is nearly MINT however, if you look close, you will find minimalindications of use. Excellent/Near Mint condition would imply that the color isin mint condition and appears to have never been through a dishwasher but theremay be very slight wear on vulnerable places of the piece. For example: on theunderside of handles / lips on the stacking pieces or on the bottoms wherebowls are stacked on top of one another. No obvious scratches or paint loss.

8 = “Very Good” …NO obvious flaws.There might be 1 or 2 areas of paint loss -- nicks in paint but not in theglass (1/16” but no more) AND / OR minimal utensil markings on the inside.There may be very, very slight fading of the colors or pattern (not likedishwasher fading but that someone washed it vigorously one too many times .There may be some marks that can be removed.

7 = “Good” …This piece is sound withno chips, cracks, or damage. However, it has been used and somewhere along theline has been washed in a dishwasher. I think of the descriptor I see often in ads: “in good used vintage condition.” When placed up against a mint pieceof the same color/style, it will be apparent that the color is a shadedifferent and there are some small areas where paint has been nicked offbecause of storing inside other pyrex bowls and being knocked aroundsome.

6 = “Fair” …This piece is sound withno chips, cracks, or damage. However, it is very apparent that it has been usedoften. When placed up against a mint piece of the same color/style, it will beapparent that it has been put through the dishwasher many times and there aremore than 10 small areas (about 1/8”) where paint has been removed because ofstoring inside other pyrex bowls and being knocked around some.

I am not covering 3, 4, and 5. Youget the point and I will not list anything under a 6 anyway.

2 = “Poor” … Just a tad better thanBad but it might be tempted to purchase it if you only had to pay for shippingcharges.

1 = “Bad” …This rating wouldindicate “not worth buying even if you got it for free PLUS free shipping.”Excessive fading from constant dishwasher cleaning. I wouldn’t list one in thiscondition (or anything less than a “6”) but it gives a standard of comparison.
