I bought this little black beauty from the original owner.It was born on january 29th 1951 serial AK081064.She said she never used it much and I believe her.As I was servicing the machine I noticed the Inside shows minimal wear see pic and was very clean.I checked the motor brushes and they only show a little bit of use.I went ahead and replaced the controller and power cords with heavier new cords.As for the broken latch the owner stated she would hide her money in the case.One day she couldn\'t find the key and her nephew offered to help.He went in the other room and pried the latch off unbeknownst to her.She found the key before he tore the other latch off.Then she lost it again along with the manual.Included with the sale is a downloaded manual and the attachments.This machine sews great nice tight stitches.
