The astonishing timepiecefeatures an original metal dial executedin Art Deco style- style that sweptthrough the most fashionable circles inthe 1920\'s and 1930’s andcaptured the modernism mood of that time. The look was colorful, luxurious andopulent, with rounded curves and corners, inside and out, based on geometricmetric shapes. The watches withmetal dials were issued for Army and remained the privilege of officers or forthe people conducting an active way of life, for example motorists, racedrivers. The unusualbeautiful dial with engraving inthe form of the sun features a 60 minutecheckered outer track border, black Arabic numerals, blue steel hands and aslightly sunken index register for the seconds. The openface is signed “SILVANA”.
This beautiful watch has a silver four-piece, double hinged case.The existence of an inner dust cover lid is a good sign of a quality watch. Itwas used to protect the mechanism from dust and debris and to provide an extralayer of protection from shock or moisture. On the inner lid there are inscriptions and medals. The back cover is engraved and has a freespot for the own monogram.
This is a Silver watch with a set of antique silverhallmarks. The inside of the case lids is stamped 0.800 and Swiss (WoodGrouse) silver hallmark, which is used in conjunction with a maker\'s markand a decimal silver standard mark.
The winding crown is in very good shape and operates properly.
This unique watch is mechanical and completely original. Theoriginal branded movement of this mechanical watch is in anexcellent status which was very well saved, considering age of this watch.

The registrationof the watch factory Silvana S.A.took place on 24 May 1923 inthe Commercial Registry of Courtelary, domiciled in Tramelan.
Between1936 and 1969, the watch factory Silvana S.A. developed continously and inthe 1960\'s business expanded gradually and turnover increased year over year.Silvana\'s markets were not only restricted to Europe, Silvana products werevery popular also in South America, in the Middle East and the Caribbean.
In1939-1945 Silvana S.A. has released the military model of watches for Germans.
