This was a tenon saw I had custom made by Spehar Tool Works. I used a friends Lie Nielsen saw, but the handle was too small and was not comfortable. Then I found out about Spehar Tool Works and learned that they would make saws to fit your hands based on measurements you send in. I had this one made with an 12 inch, 13 tpi blade and a maple handle, with an overall length of 17 1/2 inches. I made a few test cuts to try it out when I received it, but didn\'t use it other than that. There is some discoloration on the blade, but the performance is not affected.
It is a very nice saw, comparable to Bridge City Tools, but I don\'t have time for woodworking as a hobby any more, so I would like to see someone else enjoy this amazing and beautiful tool. If you have large hands, you need this saw. Spear Tool Works is no longer in business, so don\'t miss this opportunity to own one of the finest saws made.
