Coliseum 880

The ultimate amp for guitar or bass. We created the Coliseum amps for superlative performance. The Lead and Bass have been milestones in instrument amplification. The 880 is the second generation of those amps, built to do it all. We coupled the fantastic tonal range of the Coliseum series to a pair of controls never seen before. First, a variable distort control that combines with a field effect transistor preamp to give a fat, overdriven tube sound at any volume in any degree. You can turn it on and off with a remote footswitch. And then we built the first variable sustain control to make your strings come alive. Pick a note and the 880 grabs hold and refuses to die without a change in sound quality.

Front panel: two inputs, brite switch, volume, low bass (20-80hz), hi bass (80-250hz), mid (250hz-1khz), treble (1-10khz), range switches on mid and treble, distort, sustain, distort on/off switch, power switch, polarity switch.

Rear panel: Circuit breaker, two speaker jacks, footswitch jack for distort/boost, preamp out jack, power amp in jack.

Power: 320 watts RMS (880 watts peak).
