Before I retired I bought a bunch of stuff from even older guys than I thinking I needed it as I began my retirement railroad empire. The club we belonged to closed so many of the guys just sold out cheap and I just couldn\'t say no. I bought way to much stuff and my layout isn\'t going to be as big as I had hoped. Plus,I am now getting older and my enthusiasm is waning a bit. And we travel more now so I am selling a bunch of my stuff while I can. All of my items are sold from my basement and everything is easily returned with no hassle from me. Some of the items listed are from the club other I have owned for decades. By the way none of these members had home layouts,they each had 50 or so engines so none were used very much. This is an item from the club but bought years ago when I 1st. joined. I ran it there because I could leave it connected there and did not have to connect and disconnect it. The same reason Mel sold it to me.

Another of my all time favorite engines. I sold my brass Big Boy a couple of months ago,now my Challenger.

This is one of the nicest engines I have ever owned. The detail is amazing the paint and decals are all good just a few paint chips here and there. Most on the front of the tender. The only thing I don\'t like about the engine is the fact that the connector is kind of big and is difficult for me to connect and disconnect. Therefor it has spent most of its life in a box,at least as long as I have owned it. I bought it a good while back from an even older guy than I am and I know he never used it as long as I knew him for the same reason. Too difficult for old hands.

The Tsunami sound system is even better. It is not factory sound but was professionally installed and operates flawlessly. There are holes in the bottom of the tender as well as in the coal load for the speakers. Look closely at the pictures. I am 99% sure that when the sound was added a new can motor was installed because when the sound is turned off the engine is whisper quiet. The original box is good with the exception of one torn corner. See one of the pictures.

In conclusion we have a Sunset brass Union Pacific 4-6-6-4 Challenger number 3985 with a Tsunami sound decoder programmed to the 3985. In the original box with the original foam packing. Sounds great or it is whisper quiet when the sound is off. I haven\'t used it much in recent years,none in the last year so lube it before using it. It seems ridiculous for this to just sit around in a box so I hope you enjoy it.
