Thompson/Center Hawken with all parts shown in photos---channel in stock is fiberglass bedded for 15/16 barrel [not included] for a solid base when shooting--stock coated with one coat of Birchwood/Casey stock finish---the trick is to apply 4-6 coats--after drying [at least over night] rub down gently with 0000 steel wool to remove any runs or other imperfections---repeat as appears necessary to the eye---after final coat is rubbed down rub down with Turkish towel--you have a beautiful finish that will last--later finish damage can be easily be repaired the same way--brass parts need polishing ---note second last photo [with hand] shows gap where top of butt plate has a small space with stock, will need a filler piece added....
I have worked on maybe a dozen of these and they are great looking and fun to shoot!
