Hello. First off, letme explain what I do. I sell vintage cassette decks, Stereo CD players,Turntables, Stereo Equalizers, Reel to Reel payers, Amplifiers, and DVDrecorders. Those are my forte. But I am the guy that actually cleans, testsrigorously, and replaces belts in these components before I even think aboutlisting them if the existing belts do not pass testing. I clean every lens ortape head in any component from the inside, not just running a cleaning disc orcassette cleaner. And I will in pictures show these procedures to assure you Iam not taking it from a garage sale table to your front door. Some of theseunits take me hours to work on and test. Some take days. I am probably a littlehigher priced than most comparable units on , but I am sending you a unitthat is basically brought back to brand new life that will last for decades. I love when TECHNICS cassette decks come into the shop. They are just simply built like tanks. Especially the HX Pro line units.

This unit does everything a dual cassette deck can offer. Dual auto reverse, dual recording decks, every looping playback available, dual capstan drive, full logic control board, even the doors are mechanical, meaning you open AND close the doors by pushing a button. (just like a CD player).

The sound reproduction is immaculate, and the display panel is professionally laid out in LED format, and has dual lap counters.

I have tested for hours the playback on both decks in auto reverse mode with not a single issue. You will see in pic #5 testing on recording on the right deck, and pic #6 shows the testing on the left deck. Both passed 100%

I also went in and blew out any dust (pic 11), and pro cleaned the heads.

I tested the belts for pressure and I could not have put better belts on! This just means the prior owner took great care of the unit, and was never stored in a garage or attic. The reason belts go bad is because of high heat situations that dry out the oil in the belt. If you keep them stored properly, belts can last pretty much forever.

The component is in great cosmetic shape with some very minor scuffs on top (which you do not see in your stereo rack), but very minimal and NO DENTS! The panel face is in excellent condition.

This unit is for the serious tape player looker. It is very high end, excellent condition, name brand, and will add professional sound and appearance to your home stereo.

If you want to fireup that tape collection that you spent ALL those years gathering, you need aplayer that will not eat them up. If you go online and type \"cassettesmaking comeback\", you will see that major manufacturers are alreadygetting in the game of bringing the analog sound back. Let\'s face it, digitalrecording is great for storage and mobility (MP3), but nothing can compare tothat certain edgy sound that analog produces. Even the biggest appliance chainstore is manufacturing new $400.00 turntables again. The world wants to rockout again!
