one of the RAREST French powder flasks ever made!
Offered at this 1830`s Parisian flask with \"all-seeing eye\" decoration.
The embossing has been repeated on both faces of the flask.
I love the design with the eye, flutes, beads and the shield.
This powder flask has certainly a Masonic background.
Riling`s Powder Flask book shows this flask as figure 270.
Both original suspension rings are present and a very old chain.
The charger has been marked by the maker: A.G.
There is a outside spring.
Statistics: overall length is 180 mm (7.1 Inches) - the width at the swell is 80 mm (3.1 Inches).
Condition: VERY GOOD! Only missing the nozzle.
The body shows some shallow dents and a minor seam split near the bottom.
The embossing quality is very high and the flask has a nice age patina.
The top unscrews and the charger is complete and working with a strong spring.
