I am a mom, dentist and lover of antique copper cookware & kitchenalia! While shopping for pieces to add to my own collection, I often have the pleasure of finding beautiful pieces to share with all of you! As much as I would like to keep all of these sparkling treasures for myself, I simply cannot.I usually have several gorgeous pieces for sale, most come directly from France and England.
I am committed to offering unique, high-quality items and strive to provide each of you with an exceptional experience. This experience begins at the moment that you \"click\" on my listing. I do my best to include 12 clear pictures in every listing, accompanied by thorough and accurate descriptions.In fact, some (most) of my descriptions turn into mini-novels.I will apologize in advance for my long, rambling and overly-enthusiastic descriptions.
Please keep in mind that many of these pieces are very old. Thankfully, this has only happen to me 2 times in more than 10 years and 3,500 transactions. For Sale is a Beautiful \"PEIRANI Aix en Provence\"
Chalk Board from France!
I purchased this fabulous French chalk board directly from my dear friend in Wales. She finds the most wonderful treasureswhile visiting her holiday home in Brittany, France. I am so happy that she shares her \"goodies\" with me!
I don\'t know who manufacturesthese fabulous French chalk boards, but I have found a few images of similar pieces online-see picture #6. As you can see, the lower images were posted by individuals. The upper left image is the piece that is currently for sale and theupperright image appears to be a professional advertisement. Still, I cannot find a store or a website where they can be purchased.
Moving on...
This piece is in great \"vintage\" condition and is so pretty! As you can see, it has a rather rustic farmhouse style, but would easilycomplement any decor.
Theframe is made of wood and has been painted an antiquewhite. Darker shades have been added to give it a distressed look. If you look closely at picture #8, you can compare the color of the wood to the white cloth in the background.
The top has an inset/framed area with the words\"PEIRANI Aix en Provence\" writteninside. The words are printed in a dark taupe or light brown color with gold undertones.
If you look at picture #3, you will that the back of the board has foldable flaps that secure the chalk board. I think this isawesome feature, as you could easilyreplace the chalk board with a cork board, white board, a burlap covered mat for pinning notes or even afavorite picture! I am always changing or rearranging things and I love versatile like this!
The actual chalk board is in good condition. I had no problem writing on it with my daughter\'s art chalk. There are some discolorations/chalky areas and minor imperfections, but nothing major to report.
This is a wall-mountable board. There are two metal hanging hooks on the back. The previous owner has added a thick & sturdy string to the hooks, but this can be removed if you choose to do so.
Again, this piece is in good condition. There are also a few chips &scratcheson the paint, but I think they are part of the distressed look. Even if these tiny nicks & scratches are actual blemishes, I think that a few little imperfections add to the vintage charm of the piece!
