Ultra rare original presentation medal of the Society of Daughters of Colonial Wars. Lots of research to be done on this one! The medal itself measures approximately 1” across. There is a penny in one scan to show scale (not included). The suspension bar is named to CAPTAIN ROBERT HARRISON. Presentation engraved, \"Anne Prittshett Richardson / 68/ Descended from Benj. Harrison Treas of VA Speaker of House of Burgesses / March 26, 1923.\" Marked B B & B, for the jeweler as well as 14K for solid 14K gold. The medal itself weighs 10.6 grams on a jeweler’s scale.
